I still remember the first class I taught.
I remember sitting in my office afterward reflecting on my new understanding: The course was too fast for some attendees, too slow for some attendees, and just right for some attendees.
And -- even if I hid that fact from them by appropriate distractions and entertainments -- every class was destined to have the same problem.
So now I'm much more circumspect. There are target markets and imperfect knowledge. I try to remember that most of my criticism reflects my own imperfect understanding.
